In Arkansas, the County Treasurer is an elected official responsible for managing the county's finances. They act as the chief custodian and disbursing officer for all county funds, including those from property taxes, sales taxes, state and federal grants, and other sources. The treasurer also invests county funds to earn interest and ensures proper collateralization of county funds above FDIC limits.
